Roy Mitchell, Jr.
“African American Male Quilter”
Mr. Roy Mitchell, Jr., is an African American male quilter. He has been quilting since 1990 and became serious about the art of quilting in 2004. Since that time, he has lectured and been featured at colleges and universities as well as in news articles and museums both domestically and internationally. He currently is an educator and also lectures and conducts workshops that focus on African Americans and watermelon.
